About me

Hi! I’m Naila — a language enthusiast since I was three years old, when I first discovered that Catalan and Spanish were two different languages used to express the world around me. It felt like playing a game to speak one or the other. That moment sparked a lifelong fascination with how language shapes thought, culture, and helps build strong and meaningful connections.

I’m a professional translator working from German, English, and Czech into Spanish and Catalan, my native languages. With over 20 years of experience, I’ve specialized in creating precise, compelling, and market-ready content for modern, tech-driven businesses. I’ve worked extensively in marketing, IT, cloud technologies, SAP, and software localization — helping brands grow with content that’s both accurate and engaging.

I hold a BA in Translation (UAB, Barcelona), an MA in Audiovisual Translation, and a BA in Philosophy, which I completed in Germany, where I focused on Wittgenstein’s theory of “language games.” My academic background fuels my attention to detail and my love for nuance in communication. I also strongly believe in the positive changes that AI brings and its role in shaping the future of language and content creation.

In addition to translation and proofreading, I offer subtitling, editing, post-editing (AI & MT), and content creation services — always with a strong commitment to quality, precision, and deadlines. Every project I deliver is spell-checked, proofread, and carefully adapted to its audience.

After spending several years abroad — spending longer periods in Limerick (Ireland), Leipzig, and Berlin (Germany) — I moved to the Czech Republic in 2010. What started as a temporary stay to learn the language gradually turned into building a life here. I now also translate occasionally from Czech into Spanish and Catalan, mostly literary texts and playscripts for the theatre or summer festivals.
